Design & Supervision of One Stop Border Post – Suam

Project Overview

Consultancy services for the design and supervision of the construction of a One Stop Border Post in Suam, Bukwo District, Uganda, for the Uganda National Roads Authority. The project involved coordination of the design team, preparation and review of design plans, obtaining statutory approvals, preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation, contract negotiation support, and supervision of construction works for the border post facilities.

Scope of Work

Provide architectural and engineering design, preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation, coordination with the client and stakeholders, obtaining statutory approvals, support during contract negotiation, project management, and construction supervision for the One Stop Border Post facilities.

• Liaise with the client, Uganda National Roads Authority, and coordinate all professionals and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review architectural and engineering design plans.
• Obtain statutory approvals for the project.
• Prepare bills of quantities and tender documentation.
• Provide support during contract negotiation.
• Supervise construction works and manage project implementation.
• Manage the defects liability period after completion of construction.
